It complies with the STS standard and communicates with a CIU, which works as keypad, via PLC for energy consumption, monitoring and credit charging. The metering device is installed outside the consumer’s premises, whilst the CIU is installed within the home. This provides increased security, whilst ensuring consumer convenience.
